2023 Ford Puma ST, Price, Release Date. The first update of the new crossover, Ford Puma, will bring expected changes under the hood. The company immediately creates a performance-oriented version ST. The vehicle is already on streets, but the 2023 Ford Puma is not near the production version the ST will bring. The regular model comes the same we saw it at its premiere as the 2023 year model. Another change for 2023 could be a hybrid or PHEV drivetrain. The small crossover is also after the EV variant.
This is the comeback of the nameplate that served as the couple until 2002. Now, the company is using the same name for the crossover. The first impressions are very positive. Compact, space is organized great, so all five passengers have a lot of room. The technology level of the new model is superb. We expect even more features for the 2023 Ford Puma. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are there, and probably the major downside is weak performance.
Specs
A 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine is the single drivetrain available for the 2023 Ford Puma. This one is capable to produce 155 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque, we doubt it will be enough to appear in the US market. The vehicle is built in Romania and the main market for this crossover is Europe. The crossover also uses an electric battery pack of 48V to create a mild hybrid. This system will decrease emissions and improve efficiency. What’s more, for some models, there is a starter system that adds around 40 pound-feet of torque. Ford didn’t release fuel economy numbers, expect an excellent efficiency.
2023 Ford Puma Features and Accessories
Small, the 2023 Ford Puma will offer a wide range of equipment. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. An eight-inch touchscreen display sits right at the center of the control panel. The base offering includes a 10-speaker audio system. Titanium trim level will add more premium features. This mini crossover offers 456 liters (16 cubic feet) of cargo space behind the second row. Boot floor could be adjusted and seats folded to provide more room for items.
The most impressive offer is 2023 Ford Puma Titanium with leather steering wheel and unique details on the entire control panel. Of course, we expect a lot of sporty updates when the ST hits the dealerships. Red stitches on the black leather are certain upgrades. Ford also pays a lot of attention to safety. Part of the standard offer is CoPilot360 system and a 180-degree camera for the rear view. Optionally, there are cruise control, emergency braking, and lane departure warning.
2023 Ford Puma ST
To boost overall specs, the company will deliver the special version of the crossover soon after its debut. The 2023 Ford Puma ST is the major item for the first update. As you know, this badge stands for performance-oriented vehicles. On the other hand, we couldn’t see it when the sportier edition of Puma appeared for the last time. That was enough for true fans to start to render the new crossover and we already have concept images.
The only proof we have is the test mule under the heavy camo that looks slightly different than the standard crossover. We believe that the new ST edition is going to borrow a drivetrain from the Fiesta ST model. It is a three-cylinder EcoBoost unit capable to produce 200 hp and 215 lb-ft of torque. Well, for the crossovers of its size, a turbo 1.5-liter engine is good enough with such output. Depending on the weight, the performance-oriented Puma will sprint to 60 mph in 6-7 seconds. The manual gearbox is the only option for Fiesta. In the next two years, we could see the automatic transmission as well, at least as an optional feature.

Exterior Styling
The crossover is very small and perfect for urban driving. The highlight of the 2023 Ford Puma will be a unique shape of headlights. Ford call them “canoe”. Fog lamps and DRLs are part of the standard offer. 18-inch wheels are available at high-end trims. Chrome parts. Optionally, you can pick 19-inchers for ST Line, as well as the grille with this badge.
2023 Ford Puma Price
The price of the new model for 2023 is not available. The subcompact model is going to be one of the most affordable vehicles by the US carmaker. In Europe, that should be around 15,000 euros. Tiny, the crossover is loaded with a lot of features that increase its price. ST Line is going to be the most expensive offer with the price tag above 25,000 euros. Titanium will be somewhere between 20,000 and 25,000 euros. The new Puma will head to the Indian market. If it heads overseas to the US market, that means Puma is replacing EcoSport. It is time for the new generation, so we won’t exclude this possibility.
